Some Bilingual Instructions and Tips

Before you start:
Activate WORD, open any previously saved document longer than 2 pages, and save it as experiment.doc into your personal folder.  Do not delete the original document; in case you happen to lose everything, you can always start again from a scratch.

Note for teachers: The best way is to send all students the same document by e-mail, or give them a floppy.

Important:
In the course of the lesson you will be asked to edit the text you saved. Not to lose your changes, set the automatic saving time at 3 minutes.
The following set of instructions deals with many useful commands introduced in WORD that are normally used when editing a text, i.e. a diploma thesis. If you feel you have already mastered some of them, or use it regularly, feel free to skip the incriminate step and get on to more demanding tasks. You can go through the instructions in any order you choose, just be sure you do not omit the most important skills. The vital ones are written in bold - you should be able to use those, in order to survive in the world of WORD.

Any action you regret can be eliminated by the hotkey Ctrl+Z or using the command Undo (Zpět).
